A collection of various works. Separate title pages, one of which shows an Oxford engraved plate, and is published in Oxford by Henry Hall Printer to the Universitie. Headcaps, Tailcaps, Initials, Side notes.

Henry Hammond (1605-1660) was "a pioneer Anglican theologian..." and "was held in high esteem even by his opponents....Charles I pronounced him the most natural orator he had ever heard." ...He was the first English scholar to compare manuscripts of the New Testament..."
