Early-century Guy Fitch Phelps compilation of traps used by white slavers (pimps, human traffickers, etc.) to lure young girls into forced prostitution. #70, the last trap listed, reads: "In every way imaginable panders try to get girls to drink intoxicants. In cafes, grills, pleasure resorts, everywhere, this is a favorite method. The girl who yields to an offer of alcohol is doomed, unless saved by a miracle." Chicago based publisher Christian Witness Co. was affiliated with the Evangelical Association and were focused on addressing the then thriving white slave trade in Chicago. Rare. No other copies listed in commerce at the time of this posting and only three copies located in WorldCat database. 28 pp. 5" x 3 1/2". Tight, unmarked copy with minimal shelf wear.
