About This Item
Garden City Publishing Co., 1935. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. New York: Doubleday, Doran & Company, 1935. First trade edition. Thick Sm 4to, 672 pp. Full buckram cloth with gilt decoration and lettering to the spine. A nice copy: the volume is near fine with just a brief owner's inscription to the front free endpaper. All corners of the jacket are clipped; shallow chipping to the head of the spine; toning to the spine and to the top of the rear panel -- very good, perhaps better.
Synopsis
Seven Pillars of Wisdom: A Triumph is the autobiographical account of the experiences of British soldier T. E. Lawrence ("Lawrence of Arabia"), while serving as a liaison officer with rebel forces during the Arab Revolt against the Ottoman Turks of 1916 to 1918.
