Bound to style in quarter leather; red leather lettering label, gilt; marbled paper boards. Imprimatur on leaf [A]2v: Imprimatur, Geo: Stradling, S.T.P. Rev. in Christo Patr. Dom. Gilb. Episc. Lond. à Sac. domest. Ex Æd. Sabaud. Apr. 24. 1663. This copy without the frontispiece sometimes seen. Small piece from the corner of leaf B1 lacking (no loss) else a very good copy. ESTC R3418. Wind H600. Hammond, a famous Westminster divine, was a supporter of King Charles I and was his chaplain during his captivity. Rare.
