About This Item

London: Brabazon Aylmer and William Rogers, 1691. First Edition, First Printing. Hardcover. Very Good. 35p. Very good condition. Original 17th century pamplet rebound more recently in marbled boards. Spine and corners lightly rubbed. Pages uniformly toned and lightly foxed with age. Tiny, pinpoint-sized holes, almost imperceptible, in the top corners of the first several leaves; otherwise, text clean and binding tight. Tillotson was Archbishop of Canterbury from 1691-1694. He gave this sermon, which discusses the formation of one's conscience, within a couple of months of becoming Archbishop. See Wing T1243.
