Binding very good with a little general rubbing, some marking to rear board, historic ink stain, corners a little bumped, gilt slighty dulled on the spine, slight lean. All edges gilt . Contents clean and tight, original blue coated endpapers unmarked, neat ame in ink to the top edge of the half title, hinges strong. A good clean tight copy of this excellent edition that sits alongside Pride and Prejudice with the highly decorative blue cloth binding with displaying peacock.. First Edition Thus. Hardcover.
