Citadel. Very Good. Hardcover, near fine cond. in very good dust jacket. spine of d.j. faded. moderate wrinkling.
Synopsis
First published in 1959, Kahlil Gibran's A Self Portrait, this book is not the usual poetry one expects from Gibran, but is a biography written by his family. It uses his letters written in the early 1900s to show who the man behind The Prophet really was, as well as giving an amazing glimpse into the life of an immigrant in America at the turn of the 19th century.
