About This Item
London: Chatto & Windus, 1951. First UK edition. Cloth. Near Fine/very good. 8vo. Cloth in dustwrapper. First English edition preceding the American edition which was issued using the English sheets. SIGNED PRESENTATION FROM EBERHART to a Betty Smith at Wheaton College, May 29, 1955. Possibly inscribed to the American author of A Tree Grows In Brooklyn, but this is unconfirmed. A near fine example (small copyright obliteration). Minor wear to dustwrapper. Nice copy.
