New York: Random House, (1970). 1st. Hardcover. Fine/very good. Edited with an introduction by Robert Penn Warren. Signed presentation by Robert Penn Warren to Charles H. Foster and his wife on the front free endpaper. Bound in publisher's original quarter brown cloth with ivory cloth on boards, spine and cover stamped in gilt, and brown end papers. Several marginal glosses in the Introduction and in the Notes to the Introduction, otherwise unmarked. Dust jacket has several small closed tears at head and heel of spine, otherwise fine. A fine collectable first edition.
