X-Ray Book Co., 2011. Limited Edition 1st Printing. Chapbook. As New. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Edition limited to 1,000 unnumbered copies. Design and letterpress by Johnny Brewton of the legendary X-Ray Book Company, famous for his gathering and offering of rare and limited pieces of conceptual art. New and unread. Chapbook is preserved in an acid-free archival bag, and then housed again in another archival bag with backing board. A spectacular addition to any library, archive, or gift to an avid collector. This poem was inspired by the photographic portraits of Michael O'Brien, depicting the homeless. Tom Waits partnered with Anti Records in producing this limited edition, and it was offered in limited release through the Tom Waits Website. This chapbook saw a limited US print run, corresponding limited UK print run, and then went into a limited second printing. My understanding is that it was 1,000 issues per run, ALL sold out, and they are hard to come by. This makes the 3rd I've handled over the years, and I actively look for available copies.
