The first edition of Lin Yutang's history of Soviet Russia with the original unclipped dust wrapper. First edition, in original publisher's cloth binding, of The Secret Name, Forty Years of Soviet Rule, a history of Soviet Russia by Lin Yutang. In the original unclipped dust wrapper. In this honest historical study, Yutang aims to tell the real nature of the Communist Regime in the USSR, in contrast to the regime's success at keeping this a secret, both from those in the East and the West. This work assesses truth and deception in a chronological format from the Russian Revolution in 1917 to Khrushchev's admission of Stalin's crimes in 1956.Lin Yutang was a Chinese inventor, novelist, and philosopher. He moved to the United States in 1935. He was more popular for his cultural philosophy works, which were less controversial and were considered charming. In original publisher's cloth binding with unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent. The dust wrapper is slightly worn to the extremities. There is very minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Near Fine
