The beautiful American edition of Kipling's classic story collection, featuring lovely B&W chapter decorations by his father. Green cloth jacket with blind and gilt stamping and black decorations on front and spine, as well as blind stamping and black decoration on back. Text block has gilt on top.
Cover shows wear and bumping on edges and corners, with fraying on heel of spine. Spine is darker than rest of cover. Pages are age tanned. FON on rear endpaper and writing on RFEP. Text block is cracked in several places.

Synopsis
The Second Jungle Book is a sequel to The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling. First published in 1895, it features five stories about Mowgli and three unrelated stories, all but one set in India, most of which Kipling wrote while living in Vermont. All of the stories were previously published in magazines in 1894-5, often under different titles.
