Perfetto (Mint). Prima edizione (First Edition). Quando Sam Taylor-Johnson salì la famosa scala a specchio della sede di Chanel al 31 di Rue Cambon, a Parigi, non sapeva bene cosa aspettarsi. La sua destinazione era l'appartamento privato di Coco Chanel al secondo piano; la sua missione, fotografarlo. Attraverso la porta con la scritta "MADEMOISELLE PRIVÉ", Taylor-Johnson è entrata nel mondo segreto di Coco Chanel, esattamente come l'aveva lasciato alla sua morte nel 1971. Taylor-Johnson cattura la presenza misteriosa e inquietante degli ornamenti e dei mobili di Coco: un leone d'oro, una gabbia per uccelli ingioiellata, libri rilegati in pelle, paraventi in lacca cinese, lampadari di cristallo. Alla fine ci rimane un senso di bellissimo vuoto: il tocco di Coco è ovunque, ma ovunque è perseguitato dalla sua assenza.
