About This Item

Lincoln Williams, London, 1931. Book. Good. Hardcover. Inscribed by Author(s). 1st Edition. First Edition (first printing). With the author's presentation inscription to the front free endpaper: "from Norah 22nd Oct. 1931". 8vo. 140pp. Paper-covered boards, lettered in blue at the spine and upper board. A touch of light wear to the backstrip ends and corner tips, and some partial browning and light spotting to the free endpapers. A nice bright copy in rubbed and toned dust wrapper, with a jagged tear to the base of the spine panel, some accompanying creasing but no significant loss. An uncommon mystery novel; the author, Norah Kathleen Napier (née Comyn), died in a drowning accident two years after publication..
