In this book beautiful photographs of scenes created in stained glass combine with extracts from the Bible to reflect the particular joys and activities of each season of the year. The photographs have been taken in European cathedrals and churches with painstaking care -- often, for instance, with the use of scaffolding to ensure the right angle and lighting, also included are fine examples of domestic stained glass. The scenes represent the work of skilled craftsmen from different countries and periods." -- from the front fold over panel. Rubbing of the back strip edges and of the book corners.
