The green hardcover boards with blue title designs, spine, hinges, and 540 pages are secure and in fine condition. Straight and square with sharp corners. slight shelf wear at base of spine. Gracing the cover is a beautiful tribal design of a hunter, and the negative image of six cave painted hands run up the spine. There are three separate sections of photographs, with over 48 pages of photos total, and hundreds more illustrations and diagrams. Wendt has compiled and begins to discuss the philosophies and perspectives of discovers, scientists, archaeologists, anthropologists, dreamers, and visionaries on our roots as a species, melding evolutionary and psychospiritual development into an astute commentary.
