London: Allister Macmillan, 1907. 1st ed. Hardcover. Very Good. photos in text, [9], [6]-300p. Original green cloth. 28cm. Modest chipping at ends of backstrip. Corner fraying. Internally sound and clean. No jacket. INSCRIBED by the publisher to a fellow passenger aboard the S.S Monteagle between Shanghai and Vancouver in Aug. & Sept. 1907. This uncommon book has sections on Hong Kong (pp. 13-86), Shanghai (pp. 87-180), Manila (pp. 181-241), Straits Settlements (pp. 242-244(, Singapore (pp. 245-296) and Penang (297-300). At least two later editions were published in the 1920s.
