London: J. Mount and T. Page, 1787. Later edition [1787], first published in 1722. Illustrated throughout with diagrams and charts, several pages of tables, folding Mercator chart at front. Three quarter brown calf over marbled boards, dark brown gilt lettered spine label, five raised spine bands with gilt stamped compartments, [8], 162 pages plus folding chart. Covers well rubbed and unevenly darkened, some light surface cracking to the joints but covers well attached, closed tear to inner margin of the chart, not affecting printed area, with many extra creases and folds to the chart, pages good to very good with even age-toning and dampstains to the outer edge and lower corners of the first several leaves. A sound and fairly attractive copy.. Hard Cover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
