Occasional thumb-marking present throughout. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with mild bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Heavy tanning and sunning to spine and edges, with visible crushing to spine ends. Book has a subtle forward lean. Water staining to rear board.

Much heavier and more prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Moderate cracking and creasing to gutters and hinges causing some looseness to binding but pages remain attached. Slight staining to pastedowns also. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild staining, tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has heavier tanning with visible splitting and crushing to ends. Lettering remains bright and clear. Book has a slight forward lean.

Spine is discolured and creased, with bumped and worn head and foot, and worn sides, especially at the rear where it is worn through to the binding in two places. Binding is visible on front pastedown, but no separation. Front pastedown and FEP are tanned and foxed, with name and date penned on the latter. Binding also visible on rear pastedown, with no separation. Abstract pages are slightly foxed. Page edges are grubby in places. Slightly cocked.
