(1st) Green cloth with blue creating image of waves on front, birds overhead, illustration of shell on spine, two-line stamp for lodge and printed number on first front end paper and reverse of final end paper, 214 lightly browned heavy pages. DJ has beautiful color-illustration of houseboat on shore, a man and woman nearby, Nathan's books with praise on back from New York Times Book Review, William Lyon Phelps, Isabel Patterson in New York Herald-Tribune "Books." DJ has light wear at spine top edge, microtear and slight wear at spine bottom edge, tear at top front edge, tiny tear at top back edge, white back very slightly browned, tiny thin near-chip at bottom back edge near spine, nick near top back bookfold edge. Near Very Good DJ/Fine book.
