1989. Privately printed cookbook by the owner and master chef of the Sea Fare Inn in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. 4to size black leatherette hardcover with dust jacket; 235 heavyweight, glossy pages followed by index. Illustrated with color and black and white photographs by Ron Manville. Endpapers are a two-page spread black and white photograph of the restaurant's staff. From jacket: "(The author) attributes his success to his philosophy of cooking, known as Archestratios Cuisine. (His) secrets go back to 2000 B.C., to the Greek poet and culinarian, Archestratios... The corner stones of (the chef's) Archestratios Cuisine are quality fresh, seasonal ingredients prepared and served simply." Included also is ephemera: 1989 letter from PR firm to newspaper reviewer (which has some inked notations)and tear sheet of newspaper review of book from 1990. We note several typos circled on table of contents page. Jacket has edgewear, sunned spine and sunned margins. Bottom corners are bumped and there are small bumps on top of book.
