[4], xviii, 183, [3] pages. 'Imaginative, mythical, and allegorical sculpture created for decorative garden display [and] presented with complimentary verse' (first preliminary page); dedicated in part to the author's father, sculptor Avard T. Fairbanks. Notable also for the inclusion of 'fantasy sculpture' by some 20 different students (with brief descriptions); includes a few bibliographical references. Number line from 1 to 2 on verso of first preliminary leaf. Signed and inscribed in black ink on dedication page (page [3]): 'With Kindest Personal Regards / [name blacked out] / from / Florence and Eugene Fairbanks / February 2003'.Over 150 b/w Illustrations (including title page; Chiefly photographs).
