A VG copy with no inscriptions with an attractive former owner's book-plate to the verso of the front free end-paper. The paper label the spine is is very slightly chipped and darkened from cream to brown. The bottom right hand corner of the front free end-paper has minor surface rubbing which is likely a production fault In the RARE VG D/W priced 5s net to the inside flap (as called for). The D/W is the correct first issue with the reference to "THE PROBLEM OF PAIN" to the front cover. The D/W has a slither of loss to the head and tail of the spine (not affecting any lettering) and a couple of brown splashes to the front panel and one to the spine. The fragile D/W has none of the usual tears customarily seen. Photographs/scans available upon request.
