Three-volume set, small quarto, half-bound, blue cloth boards with gilt lettering & five gilt-decorated raised bands to blue leather spine, mounted brown leather gilt-titled panel to upper spine, marbled page edges, xiii + 752pp, ii + 752pp, frontispiece + iii + 736pp (vols 1 to 3 respectively), illus, VG- (moderate rubbing & chaffing to spines with some loss of colour, vol 1 brown leather title panel missing & that of vol 2 half-detached, some soiling to boards, moderate foxing but heavier to eps, creasing to eps)
