Fairbanks, Benedict & Co., 1873. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. Good ; No jacket. 1873 Fairbanks, Benedict & Co., Printers, Cleveland, Ohio. First Edition. First printing. Date on title page matches copyright on verso. No additional printings listed. NOT ex-library. Hardcover has brown cloth-covered boards with gold spine lettering and decorations. Front cover has blind-stamped thistle illustration; covers have blind-stamped ruled borders. Dark brown coated endpapers. Top page edges are brown. 326 pages. Binding tight. Hinges NOT cracked. Corners and spine ends bumped and rubbed, with some fraying at tips and spine ends; top one-eighth inch of spine cloth is missing. Top and fore edge of the front cover is mildly faded; front cover has some soiling and stains as well as some bubbling in the cloth surface. Pages lightly tanned, more so at periphery, but still supple. Pages clean and unmarked except for an occasional light handling smudge in the margin. One page is dog eared. Dust jacket is missing. Published at the request of the St. Andrew's Society of Cleveland, and the Burns' Curling Club of Cleveland. Carefully packed, shipped in a box.
