Well-deservedly, this book won the 1996 Hugo Award for best nonfiction work in the science fiction genre. The First American Edition, first printing, from 1995, this huge hardcover quarto (9.75" x 11.75") is in Near Fine condition: internally completely clean & bright, binding straight & strong, pages white, colors vivid. Mild rubbing to upper & lower extremities & small dent/ding to bottom edges of both boards are only flaws. The unclipped DJ is VG, with a 1" unclosed vertical tear ascending from the lower edge of front cover & wear at upper & lower outer corners of same cover; else, bright & clean.
