Amsterdam, Netherlands: Uitgeverij Contact Oversized hardcover without dust jacket, comprising Deel II: Amsterdam; Deel V: De Residente; Deel VI: Rotterdam, undated (except Deels V and VI, copyright 1938, but many of the photographs appear to be 1950s/1960s postwar reconstruction);--- Amsterdam, 11 pages (numbered IX-XX), plus 64 photographs; De Residente, 27 pages (numbered V-XXXII), plus 32 photographs; Rotterdam, 20 pages (numbered VII-XXVII), plus 48 photographs (about 63 pages in all, 144 photographs, plus a few other illustrations);--- text in Dutch;---only very light shelf wear and bumping to covers, but covers foxed, spine age darkened, still tight in binding but looseness evident (slight cracking between some pages), light foxing inside covers and an adjacent page or two, but beautiful cream-coloured text pages very clean and unmarked, photographic paper page margins very fresh and white;---tiny bookplate inside front cover designed by previous owner (Dutch-Canadian silhouette artist and graphic designer Hans-Detlev Voss who still lived and worked in The Netherlands during the 1930s/1940s) and his tiny ink numeral inside back cover;---laid in is an original black-and-white photograph of an urban three-storey home with massive wartime damage.
