About This Item

Nanimo B.C.: Red Cedar Press, 1987 First edition of this signed slim volume of witty feminist verse. Win Baker was born in Saskatchewan and raised on Vancouver Island. This book contains some very entertaining works, including "Knitting a Baby: For Susan Musgrave," "On Mona's Smile" (see Mah listing) and "Some Excuses for Cordelia," which begins as follows, "Robert Graves these lines did pen,/"Why do lovely women marry impossible men?/I'll tell you Robbie why it's done/Half an oaf is better than none." Cover has some shelf and edge wear. There is some light splattering (ink?) on back cover. Pos on fep. Pages are crisp and clean. Otherwise as new.
