About This Item
New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1930. The fifth Philo Vance mystery. Basis for the 1936 Michael Hankinson movie featuring an early appearance by Wilfrid Hyde-White as Philo. Bumped and rubbed with a bit of wear to the lower edges. Pages lightly tanned with the previous owner's name stamped on the front pastedown. Jacket rubbed with chips and tears, including a 1" chip to the upper front panel and some loss at the spine ends. Flaps tanned and a sticker scuff to the spine, in mylar. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. First Edition.. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good.
