New York: Macmillian Company, 1926. First edition. . Hardcover. Very Good/Good. Henry Pitz. Author's first book, rare in dust jacket. Markham went on to write both mystery and adventure novels. Dust jacket with some small chips, but still a nice example, in color showing men racing on horses. Price clipped at top of front flap, touch on "P" of "Scamp"; original price of $2.25 remains at bottom of flap (Macmillan jackets had two prices, leaving book seller a choice).
