No dustwrapper, some bumping and wear to spine ends and corners of brown boards, gilt titles on spine are rubbed but still readable, binding has split inside front board and been mended at some point with paper tape. Otherwise a not too bad copy of this hard-cover book dealing with the life and times of Girolamo Savonarola, the fifteenth-century Dominican friar executed in Florence in 1498 for heresy. Signed by the author on f/ep to original owner "Edward Bullock from his friend William Clark 1890", also a later owner's name and date (1954) onthe same page. 352pp.. Signed by Author. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
