About This Item
Boston: James R. Osgood and Company, 1873. Later printing. 12mo (15cm.); brown publisher's cloth stamped in blind and gilt; xii,289pp. Spine cocked; blindstamping worn on spine; small tear in cloth at spine base and adjacent material loss on rear panel; red edgestaining fading and toned in spots. Some leaves gently pulled. Stray pencil marks throughout. Good; intact and complete.
American essayist Charles Dudley Warner (contemporary and associate of Mark Twain) humorously describes his journeys by foot through several European locations, including Paris, Switzerland, Bavaria, Rome, and Mt.
