Illustrated jacket by Marcia Sewall. Few marginal smudges, gift inscription from Grandma below MacLachlan's inscription on the ffep else nearly fine in beautiful jacket with minimal spine fading as is often seen in this title, and just a bit of toning along upper edge of rear panel.
Very sharp signed first printing of this Newbery-winning title from MacLachlan, which is still widely read in schools.
