Rutherford was a Scottish Presbyterian minister at Anwoth from 1627 on until his banishment to Aberdeen. He remained very much in the public eye, witness the burning of his book Lex,Rex, by the Anglicans in power. By the time he was charged with treason, his health had deteriorated. 221 pp. Two repaired edge tears..
