This Sammelband is a unique copy, assembled by and bound for someone focused on portraiture. The previous owner's signature Mary H. Sellar is in pencil to the front pastedown. This is possibly Mary Hoyt Sellar (1864-1952, wife of Dawson Dawson-Watson (1864-1939) Victorian era, British-American, prolific painter of landscapes and portraits. Mary Hoyt Seller was the sitter for some portraits painted by Dawson-Watson.
