Methuen, 1933. Eleventh edition. 8vo. Dark blue boards with black titles. Pictorial dustwrapper. A very good+ copy with clean boards. Spotting to edges. No inscriptions. The very good+ dustwrapper has light edgewear with tiniest nick to bottom right foot of spine. Unusually bright sunburst spine to wrapper with none of the commonplace fading. Original price of 1/-net to spine. Sam Shotter has settled in the sleepy suburb of Valley Fields and appears to have been unwittingly sitting on a small fortune and is smack bang next to the girl of his dreams!
Synopsis
Sam the Sudden is a novel by P. G. Wodehouse, first published in the U.K. on 15 October 1925 by Methuen & Co. , London, and in the U.S. on 6 November 1925 by George H. Doran, New York, under the title Sam in the Suburbs. The story had previously been serialised under that title, in the Saturday Evening Post from 13 June to 18 July 1925.
