Wodehouse, following a struggling writer named Sam Shotter on a series of misadventures, as he suddenly becomes the secretary to a wealthy and eccentric American. This novel was published in the U.S. as 'Sam in the Suburbs', and was originally serialised in 'Saturday Evening Post' in 1925. The eleventh edition.P. G. Wodehouse is an influential and very popular humorist author, best known for the creation of his characters Bertie Wooster and his valet, Jeeves. He was a prolific author, publishing more than ninety books. In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. Very light bumping and rubbing to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Spine is a little faded. Small marks to the rear board. Spots to the fore edge and endpapers. Dust wrapper is edge worn, with chips and closed tears, heavier to the head and tail of the spine.Some light handling marks and spots to the dust wrapper, including to the reverse. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and clean with scattered spots to the first and last few pages. Very Good Indeed

Synopsis

Sam the Sudden is a novel by P. G. Wodehouse, first published in the U.K. on 15 October 1925 by Methuen & Co. , London, and in the U.S. on 6 November 1925 by George H. Doran, New York, under the title Sam in the Suburbs. The story had previously been serialised under that title, in the Saturday Evening Post from 13 June to 18 July 1925.
