About This Item
New York: A.L. Burt Company, 1925. Early Reprint. Very Good/Good. New York: A.L. Burt Company, 1925. Early American Reprint. First UK Edition was published as Sam The Sudden and the First American Edition was published by George H. Doran Company under the name Sam In The Suburbs. This copy is an early reprint of the American First Edition. Octavo. 346 pages plus advertisements.
Illustrated dust jacket is moderately soiled throughout, chipped along spine ends, and has a four inch tear tracing from top edge near front corner to near the middle of the front panel. Dampstain along top edge of rear panel which faintly echoes to rear board, though text/pastedown unaffected.
Boards are in green pictorial cloth, stamped in gilt. Some fading to spine and soiling along edges. Boards a tad bowed and corners bumped. One nick at top of spine and rear bottom edge frayed. Bookseller ticket to rear pastedown. Sturdy in binding. A very good copy in a good only dust jacket. [Jasen - 36a].
