About This Item
J.P. Putnam, 1860. Hardcover. Acceptable/None. Printed from the original edition, with a preface and notes by Evert A. Duyckinck. Pages are tanned but unmarked. Front and back endpapers have molded, but it has not impacted any other pages. Hinges are cracked and binding is cracked near center of book and separating throughout. Scratching to top of text block near spine. Boards are heavily scuffed and edge worn. Gilt decoration on front board is still bright and distinct, but has faded on spine. Board corners are bumped and frayed and spine ends have softened and are chipped and frayed. Spine is sunned.
