About This Item
London: Constable. London, Constable, 1942. First Edition. First Impression. Hardback. A near fine copy. Inscribed by the author to John Arlott, presumably the cricket journalist though the 1942 would be very early in his career and I presume he wasn't well known at that point. Presented with the book are two ALS from the author to Arlott, and 8pp of proof sheets with an inscription from the author and minor amendments (stamped by the publisher). The jacket has a little wear and a few short tears, but is largely nice. Some rubbing and wear to the boards, edges foxed. [10129, Hyraxia Books]. . Near Fine. Hardback. 1st Edition. 1942.
