Blue cover with gilt lettering and design. 96 unmarked and uncreased historical pages nicely enhanced by black and white photographs! Prolificly illustrated! Extremely collectible! Final 42 pages are dedicated to the Rockford, Illinois local business sponsors! "Construction work began in April, 1958 with cornerstone ceremonies being held in September of that year. The priests were able to move into the rectory in November, 1959 and the first Mass was celebrated in the new church at midnight on Christmas eve, 1959. At the invitation of Monsignor McMillan, His Excellency Bishop Lane presided at the ground-breaking, the cornerstone laying, and the first Mass."-------from the Description of St. Peter's Church and Rectory on page 51.
