Flexible black cloth hardcover Sunday Missal, c. 1957 w/ laid-in (as found) memorial mass card for JFK: Roman Catholic requiem card for President Kennedy, black & white with black border; 4 x 2.25""- VG to Fine condition (clean & unmarred, no creasing); probably printed for local church 1963 memorial service. Photographic portrait on front, with his name and dates of birth, inauguration & death. On reverse: ""May Jesus have mercy on the Soul of JOHN FITZGERALD KENNEDY' with a prayer of St. Ambrose above and a prayer below with 500 days Indulgence. Missal interesting on its own: pocket size 6' x 4"", pictorial endpapers, color text illus., 473 pages + liturgical calendar, all edges of text block gilt, sewn-in ribbon bookmark. Good condition overall- some wave to text, light crease down front cover, bit of rubbing. Text clean & white; book used, but not abused. An interesting religious & historical combination, overall.
