About This Item

New York: Sheed & Ward, 1948. First Edition . Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Gedge Harmon (illustrator). (x), 149pp. Mildly ex-library, as exterior library treatments have cleaned up almost perfectly. Several minor bumps to extremities of volume, with light wear here and there to exterior. Slightly heavier wear to head and tail of spine, but this wear is not offensive. Lovely author inscription to front free endpaper. Inscription reads "For Mother Mary of the Immaculate Heart, O.P., with all good wishes - Sincerely, Mary Fabyan Windeatt. St. Meinrad, Indiana, December 13, 1948." Very small whited-out area to front free endpaper. Some browning to length of fore-edge of some pages. This does not extend to page faces. Tiny spots to a few pages. Text clean. Binding sound. Overall, remains a largely attractive copy. VERY SCARCE AUTHOR INSCRIBED EDITION
