A rare, 1598 French Bible published in Paris by Claude de Monstr'oeil and Jean Richer. This exquisite, red-Moroccan leather tome is beautifully decorated on the spine and boards. This particular volume contains the Old Testament books Genesis through Job, including Apocryphal books Esdras, Tobit, and Judith. This particular issue is incredibly desirable much in part to the exquisite in-text woodcuts!
