J. Newbegin, Jr., from George Sterling" John J. (Jack) Newbegin Jr. was the son of a well-known San Francisco bookseller. J. J. Newbegin. Newbegin Jr. took over his father's business, becoming well-known in the trade. Two bookplates are affixed to the front pastedown. The smaller of the two is that of L.H. Kaufman.
