About This Item
Commonwealth Book Company, 2020-01-01. Paperback. New. 6x0x9. New. Facsimile reprint of the 1945 edition. Trade paperback. 200 pp. Illustrated. Paddy's Run is a small area in Butler County, in southwestern Ohio, settled primarily by Welsh immigrants in the early 19th century. Over the decades it was known also as Glendower, New London, and today as Shandon. Planned in 1872 but not completed by Roger Williams, The Saga of the Paddyââ¬â¢s Run was first published in 1945 by his nephew, Stephen Riggs Williams, a professor at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, not far from the small stream from which this book takes itââ¬â¢s name. This study is a compendium of pioneer Ohio history, drawing together the experiences and material culture of the Welsh settlers of Paddyââ¬â¢s Run. Professional bookseller for 20 years. Orders shipped daily in cardboard bookfolds.
