About This Item

Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1856. Full Leather. Very Good binding. Attractively bound in black calf, ruled in blind in a 'mock Cambridge-style" binding; raised bands, with blind rules in compartments and titling in gilt. There is wear and scuffing to the joints and the corners. With marbled endpapers and all edges gilt. ~~Previous owner name with gift inscription on the first blank leaf; a drop of what appears to be iron gall ink obscures the first initial. The inscription is dated in the year of publication.~~The text is preceded by the Rev. H. F. Lyte's Biographical Sketch of Vaughan. Very Good binding.
