Octavo, xviii, 122, [2] (publisher's notice) pages with numerous illustrations plus a frontispiece and 16 plates (featuring hundreds of illustrations). Cloth lettered in gilt, with three illustrations (one in gilt on the spine, with ones in light blue and light brown on the front cover; top edge gilt; cloth lightly marked, rubbed and bumped; endpapers offset, with a small name-stamp on the front free endpaper; an excellent copy. With 'five hundred examples of scarabs and cylinders, the translations by F. Llewellyn Griffith'.
