Oxford: Oxford at the Clarendon Press, 1979 Second edition, third printing. This work aims at describing every plant suitable for cultivation in the British Isles of outdoors and under glass, thereby also covering on small plant suitable for cultivation and temperate climates. This supplement has been completely revised since the previous supplement was published in 1956 and contains much new material. Part I contains lists of selected cultivars of flowers, fruit, and vegetables and a large number of experts have contributed completely new lists for this section. In Part II a notable feature is the revision of the Gramineae. Condition notes: (xii) 554 numbered pp +1; HB w/ DJ. Pages: clean, bright, tight. Cover: textured green cloth, gilt titles front/spine; minimal shelfwear, very lightly bumped bottom corners. DJ: unclipped, gray, black/reverse/green titles front, green/black titles spine; modest edge/shelfwear with two smallish closed tears to front and very mild bump to front spine. Heavy.
