Possible first US edition Hodder and Stoughton listed first, along with monogram, on the title page as well as on the spine heel, but only New York listed on the title page and only Doran listed on the copyright page, blue cloth with white lettering and with white and black colored pictorial design stamped onto the front board, 282 pages, color illustrations plus a fold-out map]. Adventure novel with fantastic elements per Bleiler [1978 Checklist page 188]. Fair with edge wear, rubbing and light soiling to covers, wear to corners and spine ends, binding cracked front and rear, folding map present and intact. See photos bx173E
